LoRa mesh

Meshtastic network E74BYZ

The club Meshtastic network connects infrastructure nodes, gateways and user devices over LoRa radio communication across Banja Luka and the wider area.

The network enables message and telemetry exchange without relying on GSM or classic internet infrastructure.

Meshtastic basics

How the network works.

Core ideas that explain how Meshtastic connects devices, forwards messages and operates without classic telecom infrastructure.

What is Meshtastic?

An open-source mesh network based on LoRa radio communication for text and telemetry without the internet.

Range and low power

LoRa is built for multi-kilometre links with low energy use — useful in the field and in emergencies.

Off-grid communication

Messages travel inside the radio mesh without depending on GSM or a classic ISP connection.

Mesh routing

Nodes forward packets across multiple hops, extending practical reach beyond a single radio path.

Secure channels

Meshtastic supports encrypted channels with shared keys — only devices on the same channel can read the content.

Get to know the network

Meshboard lets you inspect nodes, links and current behaviour of the Banja Luka regional mesh.
