October and November at Radio Club "Nikola Tesla" were marked by the celebration of important anniversaries and the promotion of amateur radio. This year the club celebrates 75 years of existence, and in addition to activities undertaken earlier — activating the special callsign E775BYZ and designing a QSL card for it, and repairing the old Trio TS510 device — we decided to engage more actively in promoting amateur radio as well as the club itself and its history. For this reason we chose to mark the anniversary of the earthquake that struck Banja Luka in 1969, and we also received an invitation to take part in the Tesla Encounters event.
On the occasion of the earthquake anniversary, a stand and an all-day presentation were planned at Trg Krajine near the Krivi sat ("Crooked Clock"), which is a kind of monument and memorial to the earthquake. For that occasion, club members appeared several times on television and radio programs, using that media space to promote the radio club and amateur radio, and on Saturday, 28 October, they set up a stand at Trg Krajine and spent the whole day there talking with numerous interested passers-by. Interest was indeed great, and we were especially pleased by the large number of young people and children who came up and asked about the radio club and amateur radio. New and old radio devices were displayed at the stand, among them the Trio TS510, which our young members repaired and restored and which older members used in 1969, immediately after the earthquake, to send the first news about the earthquake. Old photographs and old QSL cards were also displayed, along with Tesla's egg and Tesla's transformer, and we made two interesting roll-up banners to attract more attention. The presentation ended in the evening with a demonstration of Tesla's transformer, which was a special attraction and, by its appearance (and perhaps by electromagnetic waves, HI), drew numerous passers-by.

As part of the Tesla Encounters event, on 13 November our members once again exhibited Tesla's transformer and Tesla's egg at the Dom omladine, and also gave a short lecture on the theme "Nikola Tesla and Radio Waves", through which they introduced visitors to the work of the radio club and amateur radio operators and gave an overview of Nikola Tesla's contributions to the development of radio technology and science.
