Strong interest in amateur radio course in Banja Luka

Organized by Radio klub „Nikola Tesla“ Banja Luka, a new training cycle for participants of the amateur radio (RA) course officially began on Monday, 1 April 2026. This year's education cycle drew exceptionally strong interest, with more than 40 registered candidates of various ages and professional backgrounds, representing one of the most significant responses in recent years.

The training program is conceived as a two-month course comprising two sessions per week, during which participants will acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of radio communications. The curriculum includes an introduction to radio engineering, the fundamentals of radio wave propagation, working with equipment, as well as the operating procedures necessary for independent and responsible operation on amateur radio frequencies.

Upon completion of the course, all participants will be able to take the examination for the internationally recognized CEPT amateur radio licence. This licence enables legal operation on amateur radio bands in a large number of countries worldwide, opening up opportunities for international communication, technical development, and active participation in the global amateur radio community.

Radio klub „Nikola Tesla“ has continuously organized such training for many years, and this year's record response confirms the growing interest in amateur radio, as well as the quality and systematic approach to education that the club nurtures. This trend points to the importance of amateur radio as a technical discipline and a socially beneficial activity, particularly in the context of developing technical culture and communication skills in contemporary society.
